UV Protection
By now most people are aware that prolonged exposure to sunlight can lead to skin cancer. But what most people don’t realize is that being inside your home or office doesn’t mean you are protected from the sun’s rays. In fact, untreated glass does very little to protect your skin from cancer causing UV rays. Colorado customers should know that their exposure to UV increases approx. 5% for every thousand feet in elevation.
Adding Heat Shield window films to the glass in your home or business is an excellent way to protect your friends and family. Professional grade window films are designed to filter out both UVA and UVB rays.
Both financially and emotionally, you’ve made a tremendous investment in your home or office. Once that investment is made, the next step is keeping it looking beautiful. Unfortunately, furniture, flooring, artwork, photos, and other valuables will fade when unfiltered sun shines through your windows.
Fading is caused by four reasons:

Ultraviolet (UV) light is the primary cause of fabric and furniture fade. Window films block up to 99.9% of UV light.
Not only does UV light contribute to fabric fade, but so do visible light (25%) and heat from the sun (25%). Window films help block out visible light and heat to minimize your fabric fade.
"Other” (10%) refers to variables that are beyond your control - such as the color or material of your furnishings. Simply put, some fabrics and materials maintain their color longer than others.
