Blast Protection
The powerful blast from a bomb can cause immeasurable destruction. It would seem that windows shattering would be the least of it, but a single square foot of glass can produce up to 200 deadly, razor-sharp fragments. Flying glass shards are what many times causes severe injury, and even death.

Madico conducts blast tests that adhere to the protocols outlined by the U.S. General Services Administration's Standard Test Method for Glazing and Window Systems Subject to Dynamic Overpressure Loadings.

Testing Safety Films

We hire independent consultants to test our films under the most extreme conditions. Instead of swinging a sandbag into a pane of glass from 5 feet, Madico films are subjected to detonations of up to 10 psi - enough to take down most buildings.

SafetyShield® Dealer Training
The Madico SafetyShield Dealer Training Program is a comprehensive sales training seminar that provides dealers with access to tools, products and a network of safety and security professionals that will help your business succeed in the highly competitive building safety market. Upon completion, your business will be certified as an authorized Madico SafetyShield® window film and attachment system dealer. Attendees will learn about several of the most important issues facing this industry. Sessions include: Market Introductions & Business Opportunities, Technical Forum, Selling Needs, How to Compete, Principles & Liabilities, and Installation Techniques.
SafetyShield® Installation Training
The Madico SafetyShield® Installation Training program is a hands-on training seminar that certifies an individual as a Master Installer of Madico SafetyShield films and attachment systems. The Master Installer will learn procedures necessary to lead a team of installers through the entire installation process. Day One will introduce Madico's product line, outline our code of ethics and review the extensive testing our products have undergone. During Day Two, the trainer will work one-on-one with each attendee to install each Madico safety film.

A Solar Solution, Inc. was the first window film dealer in Colorado to become certified for Safetyshield 800 sales and installations. We were awarded Colorado’s largest military contract for Fragment Retention Film or Blast Mitigation. Glass Protection for a Safer World
While glass windows provide a functional benefit by opening up the outside world, they are also susceptible to various types of damage and breakage – whether by accident, natural hazard or criminal act. Safety & Security films offer added protection by holding glass together when facing a variety of hazardous situations:
- Natural Hazard Protection - During hurricanes and tornadoes, safety research indicates that security film can save lives and reduce property damage by preventing flying objects from penetrating windows. Additionally, earthquake studies confirm that home or office structures that include security film can substantially reduce the hazard of flying and shattered glass, a major source of injury.
